Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Qadir billah (AH 381-422 / AD 991-1031) and the Buwayhid overlord Majd al-Dawla (AH 387-420 / AD 997-1029) within a dotted circle, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh / Muḥammad rasūl Allāh / al-Qādir billāh / Majd al-Dawla / Muḥammad ibn Dushmanzār’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. al-Qadir billah. Majd al-Dawla. Muhammad son of Dushmanzar’ in Arabic in an ornate style of calligraphy); in the margin, ‘bism Allāh ḍuriba hādhā al-dirham bi Iṣbahān sana thalāth ʿashra wa arbaʿa miʾa’ (‘In the name of Allah. This dirham was struck in Isbahan in the year 413’ in Arabic). Rev. Within a dotted circle, ‘kharāj / Allāh aḥad Allāh / al-ṣamad lam yalid wa / lam yūlad wa lam yakun / lahū kufuwan aḥad’ (‘Tax.
